Having a certain age limit?

"I have seen people claming to be 120 years old Which is obviously a Lie." You dun know that. Maybe single granny just wanna get down on some anime. xD

1) People can always lie and say they are of age. Just the other day on Facebook i ran into an 11 year old claiming to be 24. A lot of people admit of joining sites and lying about their age. So you can add a limit, but it won't stop them from lying 2) what people decide to do off the website is their responsibility. I don't believe you can rape someone via internet, so that isn't an issue unless the person tracks an IP address down, which can happen to anyone regardless of age. 3) For a website like this, serious things like that CAN be prevented by telling someone to back off or leave you alone. Push come to shove you can block them. and there is the ability to report a person This site has more people on it to socialize than there are people on here to date. and maybe (and there have been teens that have successful done it on here) they want to find otakus their age to interact with. Not everyone on this site is on here to date, and socializing isn't bad. I think that's what they meant about the whole "A true Otaku Has no age limit." line.

^This Frasia makes valid points BUT this is advertised as a dating site and should be regulated in such a way. There's plenty of other forums and facebook groups out there dedicated to anime and manga.

Thing is, I don't recall it ever being a problem. Except one creeper that tried to take advantage of it, and was banned pretty swiftly. They take care of us here. :)

I've always thought both the community and our leader do a wonderful job of making this a safe place for everyone ^u^! And yeah.. I don't wanna have to leave ;u;
