I honestly don't think there is any specific magic bullet. Some people are just more approachable than others and some people just never want to look too far outside their immediate circle of family, friends, and acquaintances. Being laid back, a bit upbeat, and just being personable are how I've gotten to know more people in those initial early awkward stages. It also helps joining groups or organizations that help you be more social. Honestly, being a working adult, part of the reason I still staff and help out the local anime con is because of the social avenues it brings even if I've kind of "out-grown" the whole con culture to an extent.

Arigatou na minna. Man all your words are deep and I really appreciate it. There's not enough people in my life to tell me this so your words really helped me. I'm glad I found this site by chance to see you guys who are obviously amazing. Yes, I will be myself and I hope I will stumble upon amazing people like you guys. I promise to keep your words at heart (except for that one dude who said it was about the money, I'll just keep that in mind ._.) Hope you guys gain some happiness knowing you've caused mine. (^.^)/

did you ever think of not being annoying? being yourself isnt really good advice, especially if being yourself entails you being annoying

Yeah I can totally see that, there are some things I should do to better myself but I know I shouldn't stray too far from who I really am. If being annoying is my trait, I should try to slow it down right? I'll keep that in mind, don't worry. There are many things I would like to change about myself, but for now I'll take one step at a time. Thanks for the heads up kawaiicat
