Evangelion 3.33 Price Increase?

Is it just me or is the pre-order price for the Evangelion 3.33 movie on amazon slowly going up? In a way it might not matter since it may never make it to release lol.

I only recently got the first two. 2.22 just arrived today actually. And I wouldn't pay more than $20 for a movie in most cases but the second movie was super good. So I'm just gonna resign myself to the fact that an impulse buy is inevitable.

After seeing your post I looked and your right it did go up. If this keeps up it'll be $40.00 before it gets released. Anyone know what's going on with it? I heard their was a dispute over the translations.

@Nephilim I know right? Not really, but I've read the same thing more or less. Something along the lines of Hideaki Anno or whomever was/is at the head of the movie project (I don't remember for a fact who it is at the moment) was unhappy with the English translation (whether it was the audio or the subtitles I don't remember) and so it was phrased something along the lines that the two groups were going to work together to help polish the product more. So here we are around 1 and a half or near 2 years after it SHOULD have been released lol.

Yeah I heard that too, apparently Kaworu has a significant role in it. I'm hoping for more of Mari Makinami. Oh!, I just seen that the DVD/Blu-Ray home release of 3.33 has been scheduled for February 2, 2016.

Really? This should be interesting. I'll go take a look right now. That's almost an exact year from it's original release date I think. Might be more than a year, hard to remember anymore but I do believe it was originally February something lol.

It really does feel longer than that but I do agree with you all the same lol. Well for better or worse I've pre-ordered it so I don't have to bother with paying more down the line. I probably wasn't going to buy it right away after having to wait so long but if it costs this much just to pre-order it I wasn't sure if/how long it would take for the price to go down after release so for better or worse that's done I guess.
