Does Anyone Here Fluent In French?

Hey guys, how's it going? For my research paper in linguistics, I've decided to learn about lingua franca, or the language users of different vernaculars use to communicate. English is the current example, as many people, even non-native English speakers, use it to communicate. Like that scene in Inglorious Basards where the Nazi starts speaking English to a French farmer. Regardless, the specific topic here is how French was spread to Africa, Haiti, Vietnam, and Canada and became the lingua franca there. Louisiana could be included, but many Canjun speakers never learn Standard French, whereas Haitians will, as well as the Quebecois. Thus naturally, much of the linguistic and cultural studies of the Francophone world are in French. I have really good sources, but they are in French. So, I probably will get a Professor in French, or another fluent speaker to help, but if anyone of you want to help, I am open to terms. So want an anime figure for Christmas?
