It's a long story Lux. To try to shorten it... I was pre-med leaving jr college going into University and chose OU based on that. Moved away from home, discovered I didn't get the financial aid I had been relying on. So I had to work. I planned on working anyway but maybe just a part time job just to help with rent and stuff but then when I found out I had no financial aid I had to get a second job while going to class full time. Taking those kinds of classes and working 2 jobs wasn't cutting it so I had to alter my path, leave the idea of becoming a doctor and went into something I could do feasibly well while working the amount I was and getting a college degree. If I had just stayed home, I already had a job working 40 hours per week at my tribal office. I could have commuted to a smaller school and eventually got to a place where I could probably qualify for financial aid to go to med school.
