Okay... I have a guy brofriend... Not boyfriend.

hikari_amaya
So my brofriend wants to be my boyfriend, and thinks he is my boyfriend. He is a jerk as a boyfriend, but a really really good friend... I want to stop his weird obsession with me, but I still wanna be friends. And seeing as to how he acts... It is not going to be easy... AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!... Helpz me fellow Otaku...

Obviously the quickest way is to get an actual boyfriend. And if you really wanna drive the message home, get a girlfriend.

Just tell it like it is, and if he can't accept that, then he's an idiot. Sorry if I sound harsh.

Unless you love him, why not give him a chance? The fastest way is to ask someone to pretend to be your boyfriend. Problem solve, you saw how well it work in most anime to drive off suitor.

Well you have to go all-in and risk the friendship ultimately. You can't have it both ways. You have to tell him the terms/limits of your friendship and if he can not respect those boundaries you need to not have him in your life. I have been on both ends of this scenario and I can say it is better addressed sooner than later with complete honesty. It's a total crap shoot how it will work out depending on the peoples maturity and delivery/reception of the message. Good luck.

I know it is hard sacrificing one friend because of people's natural selfishness but in this case it is necessary for you to tell him clearly you just want to be friends with him. Of course, there is the risk you might end up losing the friendship however it's better for the both of you. Perhaps you can also get to an agreement with him and start being more than friends, less than lovers if u know what I mean ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) jk. It's up to you. Personally I've done this many times, I don't regret it. I wouldn't ever like someone else's fake friendship just for them to get something from me when I'm evidently not interested. Yet, if you really hold dear simple relationships like that even when they're bound to disappear through time, then this is not a good advice for you.

just be straight forward with him and do it as soon as possible. not good to let something like that linger on.

I really only have three really good friends. Two on here and him... And he does protect me from the people who want me to go to hell... Literally... I am very disliked because of my smart-ass commentary to the obvious things people don't understand... Like how you should not tell a person they are fat when you know they have anger issues... Cause you will end up with a big ass shiner... If I have no protection I will get beat up non-stop...-Holds up noodle arms.- DO YOU SEE THESE THINGS!!!!!!!!!...lol Thanks for the advice, but I think a head on approach with him will end up with a beating from one of his hot head friends... want to do it softly and gradually, but I don't know how...

k..he's going to be shocked to begin with >.> simply tell him that you don't feel that way for him.. ask him to take a step back. honestly he's gonna be sad but if you'll be there for him as a friend and keep pushing him back to being good friends ^^ god knows how long you guys will remain friends. if he acts tough to protect you and all remember to pamper him a bit..
