Well you can kindof tell if the person is good or not, people show their true colors over time....at least that is what I think

Soooo.... It comes down to its not your fault? That's what I'm reading...
You have to take a chance and trust. Also, just know what kind of women you seem to attract and why you seem to attract them. The common denominator in all of this is you.

Just spend time getting to know them, its not like you have to jump into a committed relationship at first site. People always show their true colours over time and if you don't like what you see you can end it there.
Remember that most people will experience relationships that end up failing and the romantic ideal of love at first site is not really realistic.

Give people the benefit of the doubt, trust is probably the most important thing when it comes to developing a relationship, you trust that they will respect you, you trust that they won't twist your feelings, trust comes first

Unless a loved one/friend/pet dies men never let your woman see you cry; even then not for too long as it kills attraction. It's sad but true 99.9% of the time, vulnerability chases away that loving feeling sometimes forever.
I can understand about politeness being mistaken as flirtation it has happened to me too. Accused of flirting but I though I was just being nice and casual. I took girls out and did not try to bang them asap and treated them well then they would lose interest after a date or two when it was seemingly going well. What I learned later: I was at ease around them which looked/acted confident and they were flirting back but I was oblivious or too shy/worried about impressions and I did not react/escalate which got them more attracted thinking I was playing hard to get. I did not instantly go love sick puppy on them and seemed not too tied up on the outcome which shows not being needy. Once they figured out I was not actually playing it cool, just timid......gone.*smoke-trail* It took years to deprogram that losing reproductive strategy force fed to my generation growing up.
PUAs, Tom Leykis, and Red Pillers will say something to the effect of treat women like crap and they will love you for it. It is a misnomer. You are not really supposed to them like crap, you are defining and enforcing your boundaries in your interactions with them and not turning into their bitch. Being a man who sticks to his guns and does not compromise his integrity is what attracts them even if sometimes you treat them like a spoiled child. You are showing you're a rock of stability for them when they need it. They fuck the 'Jerks' because they are usually ambitious, driven, and confident. They want the guys who make it happen not wish it happens even if it's a minor thing. They will say they want a man who 'can be' sensitive (when appropriate) but in reality they do not want a man that 'is' sensitive typically.

If a girl wants to cheat on her bf with you, she's not relationship material. There's nothing stopping her from doing the same 6 months from now to you if you'd start dating her.
You kind of just have to put girls through the test run of the dating phase and kind of feel them out emotionally, socially, and maturity wise. If they give you any red flags, you're best bet is to just move on and don't waste time on a committed relationship with them.
