When The "WRONG" Character's Die!

How do you feel when you watch a series when one of a character you like dies? Especially in the beginning. Anyway, how you feel about that? I bring this up because I'm following "Charlotte" and well one character already died. Won't say the name if you haven't seen. PS... Yea I know its part of the anime, but couldn't it go another way. :/

Well In most of the anime i watch they usually tend to die and or are assumed to be dead for awhile. As much as i tend to hate it which it quite often if the death was satisfying and true to the character than i don't mind at all. This goes double if it helps to elevate the story. Hughes, Kamina, ACE; they all had deaths that were not only true to their character but gave other character growth. Now there is a complete and total opposite to this being those pointless death in which they only died because they wanted to narrow down the cast or i just did not make sense to kill them. I am certain a few can surmise the anime i am talking about.

Character deaths are always sad but I usually feel it was a good choice on the creators part when it's used to further the plot or gives the main character some extra motivation to kick ass... I hate it when a show kills off every single character though. Then it's like... what's the point? Even half the characters dying off is more reasonable but seen a few anime where they go full Game of Thrones. Why T_T After you get all attached to every character.

Character deaths when done right: make me feel angry, sad and a whole range of emotions. When done wrong they just make you rage.

death is a pretty big deal in anime killing off a certain character for some people can turn them away from the anime completely. for me whenever my favorite character dies i get pretty upset especially when there were other characters that could have died instead

also yeah that death was really unexpected and what happened afterward caught me off guard never expected any of that to happen
