hello

Tarantulas are ok...a little too boring for my tastes. I had one when I was a little kid that I think was a Mexican pink kneed. It was mellow but I liked watching it spin its web. The crickets I fed to him ended up killing him when he got old.

woah wait the crickets killed the tarantula?......how? were they still alive or something inside of him? wait do spiders eat things or just suck their blood/insides/whatever

Honestly i dont know how he ate them. He always would snatch them up then take them into his web hidey hole never to be seen again. When he got too old he stopped doing that and I assume he would only grab the dead crickets to eat. Because I remember him still living for quite a while after he stopped "hunting" them. And since the crickets were living longer they got all big and started turning black. Eventually they must of turned the tables or he just gave up.

he must have gave up :/ like he got tired of chasing them because he was too old and eventually starved or something...how did the crickets survive to grow big if they didnt have food?

I think they get cannibalistic if they don't have food. I definitely saw them attacking him though. And he was...beat up when I figured out he was dead and cleaned out the tank.
