Do you consider yourselves attractive?

my self-image has changed in recent years from "no" to being "tolerable". redeeming qualities are much in line with testarossa and Shanks, though. i'm a pretty genuine and reliable guy and intelligent to boot. i love my sense of humor (it's quite morbid, sarcastic and self-deprecating) but because of that it's a double-edged sword, i never feel confident using my humor with people i don't know (because it seems many get offended easily) or in certain situations where i'm required to act "professional". therefore, people rarely get to know the real me.

@Goyaku, I agree with that as well, especially when it comes to humor. I definitely can't be busting out jokes to anyone that doesn't know me for fear that I'll be judged. I don't know if you can relate to this or not, but I also feel like I'm too honest for my own good, it seems to be another reason why people don't like me. I'm a bad liar, I don't like lying and I prefer when people tell me the truth rather than sugarcoat or blatantly lie so I've pretty much devoted myself to radical honesty and people don't like others who are too honest, ergo me. I just wish people were willing to look deeper than all the superficial stuff. It's really true when you mention people rarely getting to know you (us) because of a lack of commonality or whatever have you. When I went to parties in HS I would feel like an outcast because of who I am when in reality I think had they gotten to know me past my physical appearance they would have met a really down-to-Earth person. There's also the fact that people don't seem to like Otakus for whatever reason and Otakuism is a huge part of my life.

I don't think there really is a true definition of "beautiful" or "ugly". Certain people find certain features attractive while others will find it unattractive.
