What is the 1st anime you watched that turned you into an Otaku??

Sal, 18. My first one was Black Rock Shooter when I was 13 y/o... I though at the moment that anime was a really childish stuff and I liked for that... How wrong I was lawl.

Staz or Maeno, 24. Card Captor Sakura <3 I started watching it when I was really young, and when the UK actually did air loads of different series on TV at that time.

i saw a lot of anime casually while growing up like sailor moon, yu yu hakusho, inyuyasha, tokyo mew but i didnt become an otaku until middle school when my sister got her first comp. and i started watching d.gray man and aquarion on the funimation youtube literally tried watching all the anime funimation had. until i discovered i didnt have to watch on youtube. and eventually i found anime websites and just MASS WATCHED A SHT TON OF ANIME

Clannad. It's also still my favorite after so many other great anime. It's too hard to top. I watched Pokemon when I was younger but I never got into anime back then.
