What is the 1st anime you watched that turned you into an Otaku??

For me it was a toss-up of stuff I was watching. My very first anime was sort of the gateway drug, and I kinda went up from there. My first was Outlaw Star, and I loved it! After that I watched Slayers, Cowboy Bebop, and I think I really came around to being an Anime Otaku when I first watched FLCL.

hey there, my name's David. The first anime I've ever seen is DBZ, Gundam Wing, and Cowboy Bebob. What turned me into an Otaku was Fairy Tail, Death Note, & Code Geass. The reason why is because I love the character development, the story is way better the most American tv, & the action & the comedy is the best!

Heyo! Gin, 19. For me, the first one was Pokemon, but if that doesn't count, someone introduced me to Naruto three years back and in that time I went from being normal to a closet weeb. The first few I watched after that were Ouran, Full Metal Alchemist, and Soul Eater, though.

The names Jeff. Before the internet was everywhere, I used to watch Pokemon and Dragonball after school. It wasn't until college when I happened to stumble into a friends room who was watching Naruto. He convinced me to watch it and I thought it was pretty cool. So I went online and started to watch it from the beginning. Once the Chuunin Exam arc began, that was it for me - I was mega hooked.

I started with Inuyasha then started watching anything else late on Cartoon Network. But I think I didn't really latch on to the proverbial anime teat until I watched Samurai Champloo.

Id have to say (other than Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemone/Digimon) the anime that turned me into an otaku was Full Metal Alchemist/Yu-Yu-Hakusho/Zoids back when it aired on Adult Swim/Toonami back in...i want to say 04/05 I think, i cant remember, all I know is that I was not really allowed to watch Yu-Yu-Hakusho because it came on past 10 lol so that sounds about right, I think lol OH! and Fighter G Gundam with Domon Kasshu (that was probably the main start point because I wanted to change my name so bad to Domon Kasshu lol)

For me it was Death Note, about 1.5 years ago (and I just turned 17). And man, was it a good choice!
