Music Contract

I submitted 4 of my best lyrics to Paramount song recording company, and they sent me a packet saying they reviewed my work and offered me a contract. I would have to pay them for a vocalist, musicians, and arrangement, and if they liked the finished product they would pitch the demo to established recording artists. I'm skeptical of a recording business that pays the lyricist to arrange the melody. They've been doing this for over 30 years and the executives have online responses to the critics who say they prey on amateur song writers. So if anyone has advice, please tell me.

You would be ill-advised to do so and maybe should have done more research before submitting. Why not find a local artist or band that would like your help, just to get your name out there. It doesn't cost you money that way, and you have plenty to gain if not money experience and get your name out there.
