Texas maybe?

misakinagase
I'm thinking about moving to Texas when I have the founds to do so. Anybody know a good place to "set up shop" so to speak?

If you are fun having, I hear Austin is great. I have yet to go. Dallas is too much of a cluster for me. My aunt moved to Dallas recently and after the drive I had to marinate myself with liquor to calm down.

I heard Austin, Texas is pretty cool. What's to do there?

It's kinda the music Mecca of the Midwest/South. I really want to go down to the Blues Festival sometime. Plus it's the most liberal place to live in Texas so I hear. I imagine for that reason alone, there will be more there than just BBQ and bars.

I actually really enjoy living in Houston. It's generally pretty liberal, and there's more asian food/grocery stores down here than in Austin. My sister who lives up there is forever coming down to stock up on groceries and good food. There are like 3 anime conventions in proximity, anime night at alamo drafthouse is pretty popular from what I hear, just lots of things. And I think cost of living is cheaper in Houston, especially given all the california transplants that are flocking to austin. But really, I think as long as you stick to the bigger cities in Texas, it's all good.

I see. Very interesting.

Sure, it's nice in texas, but you won't like it for long... All I'm saying is just to read up on texas weather and climates before making the final decision. It can get really hot, even though much more rain central-wise, it still gets really hot and humid... Oh and they are trying to legalize marijuana, which I know will increase crime-rates for sure. But it's still not yet... But all I know is that I wouldn't wanna stay in a state that legalizes a drug like that, I don't care if it's just used for medical purposes...
