Speed dating at Conventions?

From my experience it's a waste of time. Almost always two to one guys to girls at best if not skewed towards more guys than that. You'd probably have a better chance striking up a convo sitting next to a girl at a panel or something.

They have them at Tokyo in Tulsa. My friends want to throw me into them. I would only consider it if I saw people closer to my age. I'm sure most would be in the 18-22 range.

in the group I went to it was 18 to 56. There was an awful lot of balding guys who looked like the old negative stereotype otaku. Sadly they even admitted to living with their parents. Not all of them were like that, but about 10 were

Ugh. *shudder*

Wait, balding guys living with their parents? How old were these parents? People are living too damn long these days!
trahecreations
No idea how old the guys were. Just know they were the negative stereotype of Otaku. I guess they were 40 to 50. I do know some guys bald prematurely. but no idea

50s year old in to the anime, manga, and gaming? Old School. They most of been 70s and 80s manga and anime fans. Back from the days old the original Lupin the 3rd manga run and the original 1979 Gundam run.

Yeah, and truthfully if your 40 and older I only want you to be living with your parents if you have to take care of them. If your that old and still living in your parents basement not sure what you are going to do with your life, then you live up to the negative stereotype. I get called an old otaku and I am 29 and I go out and do stuff.

The idea sounds really cool. Not sure how well it would do in practice though
