the most terrible anime you've ever watched

inexpensitivity
i guess with some people theyre more interested in action series because it keeps their interest throughout the show, as opposed to ergo proxy where its a lot more slower and you have to pay more attention to understand the show completely. really depends on how much effort you wanna put into watching anime i guess haha

There isn't an anime I would 'Hate' per say. There are a few I put low marks on, but most of the anime I watch isn't to bad. http://myanimelist.net/animelist/Ichirai_Shonin <For full listings and my ratings. The lowest rating on a watched anime I have (6) is casshern sins. The reason is that the storyline isn't much strong, I mean, it can be a bit too depressing with its background environment, and also that most of the time the characters are just talking about opinions and beliefs, which can get too repetitive, although I did watch it in my beginning otaku years, so I can't say I can remember any of the important matters. The up-side, and reason I didn't give it a lower rating, is that the main protagonist; Casshern, has a Zero theme to him(From the Megaman Zero series), and even though it can be quite depressing, it has a few up-points as well... Or as far as I can remember... One anime, that I'm on right now, leaves a bit of a bad taste in my mouth, but I don't hate it, I actually give it a 7. (Although most anime I give an average are marked 7...) Mayo Chiki, the story is based around Jirou, an average highschool boy that has... An odd case of gynophobia(Fear of women), caused by the excessive use of force done by his mother and sister. He gets a nosebleed when touched by a woman(As a defense mechanism created to prevent over-excessive force done on by use of being a human...Wrestling Dummy...), but his secret is exposed by Kanade, daughter of the school's principle, but he also found out about her secret... That her butler, Subaru, is actually a girl... And so it's a story about back-and-forth torture(Well, apparently only for Jirou...) and confusion, trying to keep each other's secrets... A secret... Why I don't like it is that Jirou, who is just a normal guy, is being treated more than a fair share of brutality, mostly caused by, no, actually ALL of it, by Kanade, that is trying to "Cure" him of his gynophobia, but I haven't seen much progress at all... And then when she isn't trying to "Cure" him, she puts him in a situation that doesn't do any good. Sure, teasing a bit, or a little female sadism isn't bad, but at this excessive amount leads to the almost only male character at the lowest end of the pole, which I just call plain sexism to me... And on top of that, many of those situations actually puts her butler's secret at danger as well, and he STILL get's only crap... I could do without all the hate on the normal guy, when he doesn't even have the perverted harem guy personality... ANYHOW... That's what I don't like about it, but the up-sides. It shows at least a good amount of romance and friendship between those around him(Minus Kanade), which is a good plus side to me, and there aren't too many interjecting romantic relationships(Not everyone liking one guy) which helps to just focus on just Jirou X Subaru(Although that is another annoying part; too much BL references thanks to the Warm-Watch group...*Sigh*), there are a few parts it gets tangled up a bit, but most of the time it gets untangled, which normally most anime leave a lot of those misunderstandings so mangled up and never cleared, which annoys me... Also that Jirou has a strong resolve to whatever he does, thanks especially to the words of his father, but it isn't appreciated enough when Jirou takes action... But anyhow, all in all, it's not too bad, but as I said, it puts too much sexism on the protagonist, actually pretty much all the male characters, since there aren't that many to begin with(Sure, there are some as background characters, but that doesn't count), Subaru's father, takes a share of sadism, but nowhere the amount to Jirou, and the father is sometimes a bit too over loving to his daughter, as to why... But Jirou still takes 90% of the heat from everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, Subaru not so much later on at least, but it still annoys me to no end, but I still don't hate the anime, just wondering what the fuck was going on in the head of the guy(If it was even created by a guy) who done the story?! A masochist maybe? Well anyhow, can't think of any other anime I give low marks on, just average rank, or was good watching it, but probably wouldn't re-watch. Can't think of an anime I'd hate...

@inexpensitivity -Valid point, I tend to like anime with in-depth story-lines.

Let me think of one of the worst anime I can think of. How about One Piece? I've literally never seen any other anime overdo it like this one. I mean this anime alone spans over 712 episodes and is still going! Counting the anime seasons, movies, OVAs, and specials anyway. That's just too much, even for me. And even when the main plot ended, you know what happens? It fucking continues! Nope, you think Luffy would just stop pirating after he did what he did after the main story? Well, let me put this in a way people should at least understand. He still dicks around in the sea like an overpowered max leveled player in a video game. He's too OP for his own good. If it were me or just some random Otaku off the street, I bet that whoever would get control (if it all possible) would make some form of story or something good from this trainwreck of an anime. I mean, if it actually got some sort of good thing out of it, I might go and watch it again. But not if it stays as the fucking horrible state it's in now. Get your head out of your ass Eiichiro Oda. Kill this anime before it starts breeding more and more weeaboo. Thank you for your time.

@otakujt i wouldn't say one piece is breeding more weaboos anymore, feels like it did in the later 2000s, early 2010s (along with naruto, bleach, fairy tail at the end there). i feel like now they're all going for sword art online, attack on titan, those kind of things

yea i've been watching anime for years, only just started on one piece last winter (good show to watch post-breakup since it takes SO DAMN LONG to catch up

@OtakuJT - I tried to watch one piece, got 14 episodes in and couldn't take it anymore. The show just seemed ridiculous but just my personal opinion. On a side note haven't i seen you on hummingbird?

@inexpensitivity Well, sorry to bust your bubble, but One Piece is still breeding weeaboo. Along with Naruto, Bleach, Fairy Tail, Sword Art Online, and Attack on Titan. I watched Sword Art Online before the hype bug got to it. It was really great then, back when you could watch it and not get all hogged by people with them asking "Omg, have you seen SAO? It's so good!!!" The fanbase wasn't as big as it was before the hype for it came along.
