Pretear is short I think. Sex Pistols is two OVAs, but that is only if you like Yaoi. Everytime I want to answer this seriously All the short ones leave my brain. argh.

I'd check out Angel beats if your looking for a good short drama. Baka and Test is a really good comedy. Oh and if your looking for something with some action check out Mobile Suit Gundam 8th MS Team.

Sorry if i'm a bit late, but I don't think anyone has mentioned Puella Magi Madoka Magica. It's only 12 episodes. It may look super cutesy, but beware.

it's 2 seasons of 25 episodes but i absolutely love it so far
also ugh, madoka was honestly awful imo + I love magical girl anime. I literally felt like I was high the entire time
