I don't know about most girls but if I feel a guy is shy and is flirting with me I ask them if they like me. Simple. Easy. Unless I'm not interested in them then I have to rent out a room in the friendzone. I personally like it when guys take the initiative. It makes me feel you have enough confidence in yourself. And not to mention really hot when a guy is straightforward and just says what he's got to say

That's one of my peeves. Stick it out until you're 30-35? I'm going to be busy with life by then, hermano.
I don't know, I've been told that the best relationships build from friendships, but for some odd reason, some people rarely acknowledge or appreciate me as a friend, which causes me to be sad, which causes my patience to drop.
And I like talking to a lot of people. I really do. But I feel as if I would rather wait/find somebody who can truly appreciate my character and personality, then wait or find out 10-15 years for one friend to go,
"Oh! Hey, now I just realized your cool! Strange is it? Sorry about that."

Dude, where have you been all my life.
On numerous occasions I have been told, "You would be a great boyfriend! You'll find someone, If I was single, I would date you, etc."
Yet, I've realized, some(a lot) of the girls that I take interest in make it really hard for themselves to get to know me on a friendship basis.
I've learned not to PULL OUT ALL TEH STOPS to make that girl fall for you because if you treat them equally, then they will to. If they're not interested, that's their choice. No biggie(smalls).
Heh, ever since I've been trying to figure out "what's wrong with me", but I think it's just perception, you know?
The common explanation I get is, "that I'm not their type", and I wanted to figure out what that meant. But not anymore.
