I can't remember the last time i heard of rape in a restroom, let alone from transgender or otherwise. The way it's being talked about here is as if it would certainly become an epidemic.Same sex rape happens from those claiming to be heterosexual and it's not just about liking the same sex. Sex is a form of power and not just an erotic thing. How many child predators have you pissed next to? Youll never know. How many rapists have you pissed next to? You'll never know. I can guarantee you have though.Not all transgenders even want to be with the same genetic sex. This is hardly the biggest issue, it's about acceptance.

Trans people want to live as the other sex, and if they can want to, and can act like it, why should it matter? You're not asking them for sex... Or I wouldn't think. Most will tell you if they're comfortable with you as friends, or before anything got serious.

@wallace Those who are still transitioning do need to be aware of whether or not they pass. From my experience with FTM transitioning, many will be concerned with passing and not go to the opposite bathroom and such, until they get "approval" from the community as passing. I don't know how it is for MTFs, however. Either way, if they're minding their own business, it shouldn't matter. Why are you more concerned about MTFs anyway... Women will be the ones seeing them. I think women are more tolerant to them(usually but not always). If anything, FTMs are the more concern for men.

FTM transitioning is hard, if not, harder, because it's still impossible to have a fully functional penis. The only method which lets you have one that even still has sensation essentially gives you an enlarged clitoris/micropenis, and it cannot be used for penetration. Also they're very invisible to society, so I think it's worse. You don't get the support that MTFs have, and there's really only ONE movie about FTMs which barely anyone knows about. The surgery is EXTREMELY risky and under-researched. MTFs on the other hand would only be unable to give birth and have periods... which I only know one MTF who even wants to do those. While they may get more hate, they also have way more support and visibility. Their surgeries are much safer than FTMs, though still dangerous.

If this happened in for example my close swimming pool area, I think it would be up to the people who worked there or the manager on to this situation clearly not us at all. The same goes to schools with teachers etc. It's really not up to us to decide if this is right or wrong. People don't mind it but some people would it depends on the person. I think the person who work there would tell the transsexual person (in the most nicest way possible) can you change in the change rooms with private rooms that won't make any drama situation with the person and people around them of making it fair in the most reasonable matter as possible. In toilet areas I think it's not a problem as they're private anyways so I don't think it would have any affect on anyone.
