Henry Clay was a great man. But he ran for president too many times. Generally, America doesn't elect losers. More or less, you get one shot at being president. Maybe 2. But if every four years you run for president, America gets tired of you. He was better in the Senate anyway.

Seem to work for Richard Nixon. Yeah, but it was the Whig Party. I guess that is why you where the dark horse. Those you where the last of the strong president before the Civil War.

I like Nixon. He is what I want in a politician. Corrupt, evil, but gets the job done. Sure he spy on the democrats, no worst then what the government does to everyone now a day those email. ( Proven to be true by Snowden), but at least he got us out of the Police endeavor know as the Vietnam war( witch it was not a war) and open relations ships with China.

I second that. Government that does nothing and does it's job with little interference to the day to day life of the people is the best.
