And how could i forget Oregairu As cynical as some of it may be, you can def apply some of the beliefs in the novel to eveyday life

One Piece. Got me in to this whole crazy world of anime and manga. I would not be who I am with out it. I be something even weird with out it. One Piece for life.

I would have to agree with the comment directly above mine. But as for the biggest impacts? Yu Yu Hakusho, Dragon Ball and DBZ, Code Geass, Gurren Lagann, and of course Steins;Gate. And while this is semi-off topic, the game that had the biggest impact on me is Tales of Symphonia. <3!!!! (I thought I posted in this thread back in Feb, I guess I forgot to)

I would have to say Welcome to the NHK! and Watamote. Also might i point out that Watamote is one of the best slice of life anime ever created?

Also, the story behind my otakuness ended up occuring at a sleepover where i found HighSchool of the dead on my friends hard drive and taking it. From there i just kept on watching new anime!

I'd have to say Genshiken probably had the biggest impact on me. It clearly showed how each individual otaku isn't just a lone individual but part of a larger movement/culture.
