Yeah, I think it has to do with the prejudice from gangs/crime in the city. Since she lives in the city, so she's probably had some bad experiences or just doesn't like the bad reputation. I was a kid(5 or 6) at the time that she told me to stay away from them, so it may also just be paranoia. None of the black people I met in the school were bad, and one guy was extremely nice, so I just kinda ignored her. XD I didn't think my eyes were that large, or that Chinese would have bigger ones. o_o Always thought of them as pretty much the same genetically, with just a minimal difference from geography. I can't tell any Chinese or Japanese apart honestly. Actually, I think because my mom's side is Okinawan, it may be closer to Chinese or Taiwanese genetically? Because it used to be its own kingdom, separate from Japan... But I've also read it could have closer tie with Ainu genetics than modern mainland Japanese? Well it doesn't really matter that much. XD Although, I did once see this project which combined many pictures of random people of a certain country, and overlay their faces to see what the average of their country was, and there were somewhat noticeable differences in the Chinese and Japanese faces. https://pmsol3.wordpress.com/2009/10/10/world-of-facial-averages-east-southeast-asia-pacific-islander/ (I liked that they separated normal people from the celebrities in this.)

I always felt like japanese men looked more "masculine" than chinese men. I guess you're right. not many differences between asian women haha. I feel like the real difference is in face shape. Like Koreans have more of a rounded face while the japanese have pretty defined cheekbones.
