Why are girls so confusing!

jacksterboy
Basically, there is this girl who I've liked for like forever because she was my childhood best friend. When I was 13 ish I crushed over her for a year and eventually I asked her and was rejected. Hardest moments of my life so far. I eventually learned the reason she rejected me was because she would think it is awkward if our parents found out. I tried again but she is stubborn. So months pass. Happened again. Months pass I've given up at this point when she suddenly contacts me. This time she confesses to me!. I say I'll think about it. Days later, AGAIN she says it might be awkward. At this point I'm crushing all over again. She plays hard to get again and it almost happened. She even began talking to me about sex one night, but next day it was ignored. I was confused. Dates happened again and all that. Still nothing. So I give up again until yesterday. AGAIN she talks to me acting freindly. TONIGHT she says she loves me.I'm mega confused right I know its long, but what do you guys and gals think of this. I'm just wayyyy confused

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wse_hgca220 maybe this will help explain things. But seriously, maybe she's just unsure about her feelings for you and if nothing else is trying to get you to understand the parent situation isn't easy for her. maybe try giving her some reassurance that it'll all work out? Maybe talking it over with the parents would help things too since that seems to be the major issue. I'm sure from the sounds of it that once you have their approval it'll be clear sailing from there.

That was, surprisingly helpful.

I sadly cannot help much, Since I have never been in the situation, But I will say, Try talking to her about it, And a good long one, So you both can understand eachothers situations. Just my two cents.

Haha, I think it's because she has never been in a real relationship before. She doesn't know where it will lead and stuff like that. She says if this relationship fails then our friendship will end. We have been basically best buddies as I was small and weak when I was a kid. Honestly I cried about everything back then and she protected me. She was the strong one and helped me. I can't blame her for having doubts but at the same time she wants it.

Sounds to me like yeah she likes you but she doesn't want to risk losing you as a friend if it doesn't work out. Thats what I get the impression of. You've always been there, she doesn't want to risk losing that.

I've came to understand and appreciate that, but I think she is realizing now that we have gone to different colleges ( high school if American or anything else) that I was her closest friend and more. That's why I'm confused now.

yeah if she's never been in a relationship then she'll probably be really confused and unsure about what to do and how to handle her feelings. worrying about the friendship is a valid concern, things would be really awkward if things didn't work out, but probably just in the short term. You guys sound like you'd probably be good for each other though, you've known each other for a while already and it seems like you two like each other even if she's a bit confused about her feelings. Just keep at it and giver her the reassurance she needs and be there to help her tough everything and try to be patient/understanding with them.

Everyone thinks we should be together. Even her mum knows about us a bit and she just laughs and says I love jack. She has been in relationships but they weren't too serious. I'm just gonna give her time and see what happens.

You're 17, she's stupid, move on. College is where you find the good girls who are less drama. Just don't go for the girls who just started college from highschool.. get the ones there a year or two. Definitely more mature!
