One minute it's all 'sex sells' and shoving sex into every movie and tv show and ad possible. Like how a movie with death and violence can be pg-13 but showing some skin automatically bumps it to a R. or like how showing half a butt in mass effect is something to be shocked and appalled about on the news, but graphically ripping someone's head off in god of war is no big deal. Or take GTAIV where people make a bigger deal about first person sex with prostitutes in the game, rather than the prospect of first person torture. For that matter there's the way someone can sleep with hundreds of partners and be considered cool or even admirable for it, but one misstep and someone who's only slept with someone once in their life can suddenly be labeled a sex offender and be ostracized from normal society.
