Devil May Cry

I thought 3 was pretty good. first game was okay but I wasn't nuts about it and never played 2 or 4. reboot also seemed really uninteresting.

Yeah the reboot really wasn't that successful(in my opinion it was bad, But some liked it). Though 3 is the best in story, the 4 is the best in the gameplay, In fact their coming out with a special edition of 4 this year I think, So perfect timing to check it out if you want.

I have watched the prequel reboot of DMC, and like most I really didn't like it that much Capcom didn't put their heart, and soul into it. I just recently beat Devil May Cry 3, and I am a total Vergil fan-boy Vergil is just cool, and has more style then Dante. Anyways who liked the eleven episode anime, I know I sure did. ^_^ Anyways, I like Devil May Cry 4, because well the story, and Gameplay actually look well balanced. Devil Cry 1 I got so far into it, and then I get killed by the Grim Reaper thing, and nothing I do to it seems to work at all...

http://youtu.be/LZPg37yHNTg Yes Vergil rocks, The new special edition of 4 coming out is going to have him in it as well(Most likely as a playable character). 4 Is personally my favorite, Because there's no doubt that it has the most polished and fast combat.

I've played the third one, I enjoyed it a lot. I'll have to check out the anime mentioned here. The new one looked really lame though. The new protagonist(still dante or?) looks radically different from Dante, imo. Also, the art design looks less dark/gritty.

Well he's still called Dante, But just imagine this Dante, without his charisma, wit and fun loving demeanor. Though like I said, Their coming out with a special edition of DMC4 which is a great place to start out, Because of the best combat, it has Dante in it and the newer protagonist Nero, who is much better then the new reboot dante in my opnion. Though I know the hd collection(Which holds 1-3) is on the console online markets where you can download it for like 20$. Though I warn you and everyone if you get it, DMC2 is still the worse hahaha.

Was it the same developer who made the reboot? Reboots tend to suck, in my opinion. I rather have epic sequels, though that's hard, I know >.<

No it wasn't, It was a completely different company which I heard never even played the original games. Though the original developers said they'll be continuing with the old series since how badly the reboot sold. So there's hope I'll get to see another sequel one of my favorite franchises of all time.
