childhood ruined

What ruined my childhood? Not having parents. Being raised in the super poor ghetto. Having the one person that did care die in my arms. Lol

Having my dad try to kill me and my mother and ditch us thousands of miles from home. lead to a divorce of course. my childhood pretty much ended around there.

You got me feeling depressed. Kinda ashamed but ima have to say when my dad said I'm to old for toys and also when I noticed I'm getting old

When my mom brought a strange man home from a bar at 12am while my dad was on a business trip, stole all my clothes, allowed the strange man to climb up my bed, having her call my eleven year old self a chicken as I screamed for him to get out, and her convincing the entire family that I was lying about the whole thing. Yep, after that night.

Nope, fortunately I was one of the lucky ones. I yelled until they got out. That taught me a very valuable lesson in life: The people that should love and protect you won't always be on your side, so never expect help from anyone but yourself. My mom put me through a lot of crap after that night and I fight with those demons to this very day, but in the loss of my innocent view of the world, I gained wisdom of the world. People think I'm a bitch, but I'm careful and I don't put on airs for anyone. I've become the protector/mother of my small group of friends and use my experience to help teenagers going through the same thing because many feel like they have no one to talk to about their situations.

Nothing really "ruined" my childhood but I did have a pair of perverts that kept making perverted phone calls to me so much when I was home alone (when I was like 10) that we finally tapped the phone. Also my friends did show me playboy mags when I was 10 but that was fine by me. Also found out about my friends older brother who was 13 was molesting his younger sister who was 8 but I didn't understand at the time. And when I was like 9 I had a female classmate (the only girl in 3rd grade menstruating) who was fucking a 17yr old boy. But I didn't understand at the time.
