Sword Art Online Season 3?

So, I got done watching Season 2, R.I.P Yukki, but Nothing has been set in stone yet as far as a season 3. Anyone got any spoilers or info?

With the popularity SAO has right now though, I would guess it's likely :P

The story arc that comes after Mother's Rosario (and which concludes the whole series), Alicization, still isn't finished yet, so they probably won't be able to continue the anime until Alicization is over with. Alicization is extremely long, seven volumes and going (everything in the first two seasons covered volumes 1-8, for reference, so Alicization will end up comprising over half the series), so they might have to split it up into two seasons to properly adapt the story without rushing things. But yeah, SAO's one of the most popular series around, so I'd be surprised if we didn't see more of the anime. If they wait until the Light Novels are finished, maybe 2017 or so for a third season.

Finally saw SAO II. It was really good. Well there 2 hangers in the anime. So there either need to be a 3rd or they just leave it.

I would make sense to make a 3rd season, after how popular 1 and 2 were, it would be a smart investment. Just a matter of When, hopefully either signs this year or next, but it may end up being 2017. *Sigh* Only time will tell, and sadly I used up a lot of my power already, so I cannot control time at the moment... On the brighter side: At least highschool dxd s3 will be this year, and log horizon s2 is still going.

am i the only one that thought second half of season 2 wasn't that good ? the first part was great tho gun gale
