Why Does wearing short shorts make you a slut?

Like most people here, I think you should just wear whatever you want. Sadly, a lot of the people who think that you should not wear short shorts have just grown up thinking this due to parents and their values. Not that it's the parent's fault, because it's a loop. The parents grow up thinking this because of their parents, and the parents before that and so forth. And then there is people who think this because they're not confident themselves. Then there is just some people who are assholes xD But just wear what you want :)

I think you might be getting mor comments like that because you're only 16. Wearing short shorts will guarantee men will be looking at your butt so it's a bit taboo at your age. I'd be pissed if I had a daughter your age wearing short shorts, but I'm a firm supporter that you should wear what feels comfortable. Wearing short shorts does not make you a slut. If you're okay with men looking at your butt, go for it girl ^_^

I dont think it makes you a slut. Just makes you look easy so I avoid you. (Maybe that is a slut?) I dont know lol. Point is, if you look like every other basic bitch walking around then you just dont catch my eye :l No Offense ladies :O Plus theres these shorts girls are wearing in my area now that looks like complete crap. If I find a pic on the web I'll post it so you can see what I mean

Hi there amaimai! I used to think that way too, when i was at your age (or younger, i guess) I did not see myself as a typical girly girl and so i thought that it would be bad and you would look like a slut if you wore a short shorts or even just a short that is above the knee. (im living in the Philippines and the culture here is that females MUST be modest "mahinhin" at times.. so the country and culture are also factors why sometimes you are hesitant to wear the things the you want) but later on, as i matured, i realized that its not that bad for you to show some skin just as long as you have self respect. (i dont wear very short shorts. just shorts haha lol) and also, you are wearing those things that you like because you want to express yourself, right? so in the end, you should not let the world dictate what you should or shouldnt do cuz above all, (except God, ofcourse) you know yourself way better. hehe thats all i can say~~ :3

I think wearing shorts is just wearing something casual espically living in vegas where it gets really hot sometimes xD what does a basic bitch wear? XD and i think i know what your talking about the high waisted ones where their butt cheeks are sticking out xD i personally wouldn't wear something like that but they can wear whatever :3

@lysschan : thank you ^^ i know and even when people make comments i still keep on wearing whatever I want ^^ i dont change my whole wardrobe just because a person didnt like what I'm wearing or commented something negative but it was just out of my curiosity why people think that ^3^ like how come? You know? XD but thank you so much for the encouragement ! ^^
