Firearm of Choice for Zombie Outbreak

Crossbow or compound bow because you can retrieve or make arrows. With a gun, once you are out of bullets you are fucked.

M16a-4. All my buddies are marines and I've got trigger time with this weapon system as well. As for side arm, as much as I wanna say 1911, the 9mm block has the edge in a zombie situation We have a metric sh#t ton of ammo, espically 9mm, I'm sure my buddies have more than enough 226 rounds

This requires a lot more consideration that one might think. You need a fairly lighweight weapon since you will not have the luxury of rest when you want it. You need accuracy out to around 300m to keep zombies at a safe distance, especially if they are in large groups. You need a gun that has fairly light weight ammunition so you can carry more. You also need something with good reliability since you might not get the chance to clean the firearm as often as you should. With that said, I am bringing my AK. Ideally I would buy an AK-103 with an FN barrel since it is a bit more accurate than my current WASR-10 due to it having the BARS system.
