Long Distance Relationship

While on this site I have met so many awesome people who I would really much like to date if they'd give me the chance. But none of them live in Arkansas like me. I have only had a long distance relationship once and it turned out badly. What do you guys think about dating long distance?

@blondeangel I understand where you're coming from, but @yunoxyukki has a point how it can be weird. I mean I'm an affectionate person and I think it'd be hard wouldn't it?

I don't believe it would be weird, if two people truly like or even love each other it will work. It just takes work on both ends. In all honesty affection can be felt and even more effective in a long distance relationship. Talking for days on in. spending time communicating will deep the bond between those involved until the eventual meet. Hopefully if all goes well the meet will be a moment from that of a dream. But then again I'm a romantic it would seem.

I think long distance relationships can work depending on the people in the relationship. Some people have different needs that just don't do well in that kind of relationship. I do know they can work though. My best friend is married to her long distant boyfriend. They dated for like 7 years before they actually saw each other face to face. It's been like... 10 years now? 11? and they're still together

I think it's ok to start a relationship in a LDR status, however it's not going to be successful if you don't get together at some point.

I look at it this way, regardless if it's a long distance relationship or not, you have to meet somewhere in the middle. Both sides have to put effort in to it or it crumbles like anything else. If there is a will, then there is a way.

all of mine have started out as such. It's worth the fight, but sometimes still ends badly once you meet in person. I say if you want to take the chance, then go for it
