I dunno if anyone else noticed this but every time an anime character puts on an afro instant power boost not to mention coolness rating goes up. But any thoughts as to why?

kinda, but it's happens in several animes I've seen especially One piece.

I think it has to do with big hair in general. Just look at the various sayain forms from dbz or mazoku form for yusuke in yu yu hakusho!
