I've heard that just telling them they are beautiful is the way to go. If they say they think they are fat, don't say "I don't mind that sort of thing" or "No you're not", just say "You're beautiful.". Say it for everything that they think is bad about themselves. :3 If it's complimenting a certain part of the body though... I guess try the hair? It seems like that's what a lot of girls really focus on I guess so they want others to know even the slightest difference.
