Not sure how I missed this thread, but it's nice to meet you Jigoku. We may run into you at Izumicon this year if all goes well.

Sounds good, it's going to be my first con. Anything I should know?

I just finished my first con myself. If you're outgoing and proactive you should be able to easily have a really good time. Here's my impressions and what you might keep in mind: Most of the people are really nice. Everyone I asked was more than happy to let me snap a picture (and I got tons). They'll even pose with you if you ask. Its very crowded in the main areas. It may be a little difficult to stay together with your friends as you walk around these places if youre in a group of more than a few people. Theres a lot of different attractions and events going on at the same time. It may be best if you review the schedule and pick what you like before you start so you can make time for the things you want to see and do. That would also make it easier to make plans to meet up since you'd know what times you are open or going to the same events as others. Though theres nothing wrong with just roaming around if you prefer. Whatever is the most fun for you. Saturday is going to be the biggest day as far as attendance goes. Keep an eye on your spending. Things can be pretty pricey, so it adds up quick. There are discounts at many vendors on the last day if you want more bang for the buck. Also remember that you need to eat too. Between restaraunts and merchandise, youll probably spend a fair chunk. Also check out the hotel youll be staying in beforehand for amenities. The hotel I stayed at this time didnt have a fridge or microwave which will influence food and drink options a bit. If you have work the next day youll want to keep an eye on the time and how much you drink (if you do) so you can wrap up early on the last day.
