Good free online game

So i'm looking for a decent free online game that isn't pay to win and requires skill. I like elsword a lot because you're not forced into pvp but I hate the level grinding and continuous quests that makes you do the same dungeons over and over again. I played LoL as well but I feel like you can't really control your character that much. Also it is kind of pay2win ... if you think about it .... >.> (I won't argue about it) Used to play S4 league as well but there are way to much hackers and if you pay you getter better weapons wich you can't really have for free (or not easy at least) games like that are the reason why I like mario games, sonic and kirby games so much. But those aren't really mmo's >.> Well you can play mario kart online but that gets boring quite quickly. Minecraft servers have nice servers but if you donate you can extras wich are mostly way to OP for the specific mini-games And you get kicked out when server is full and donater joins in >.> So anything good that's completely free without pay2win shit or level grinding where you really control your character. With keys to move them and such not like LoL, dota and all those games???

League is completely pay 2 win, I mean you can't win if you don't have a skin DUH. Pretty much every game is one of the two. Either you have to pay or you have to level that's just how games work, you shouldn't be able to just go wherever you please at level 1 and fuck something up. Anyway just look through the free list on steam there are a lot of games on there of different genre from fps to the diablo2 clone Path of Exile. I played games like DnF and Continent of the Ninth Seal for quite a while those are fun. The english DnF got shut down but I heard it's coming back, I haven't looked too much into it since they won't bring back your old characters.

You're a competitif LoL player aren't you? A game I actually liked but it was taken down was digimon battle online ... better than masters in my opinion but yeah it's a goner >.>

Define competitive. I'm an avid player and play to win but It's not my job. I'm not an LCS player, a streamer, or some diamond/challenger tier player. I remember playing an online pokemon and yugioh game a while back (not duelingnetwork.com) but I don't remember the names exactly

Don't have to define ... know enough ;) Well I play ygo once in a while irl not online, Pokemon tcg sometimes not that much. I play a lot on the ds but I don't play competitive I don't waste my time on that. Same goes for LoL I prefer to play bot games because peeps aren't such babies on there. I play to have fun, if I win or lose it doesn't matter to me as long as I can have fun. But most of the other players take it all way to serious wich takes away the fun for the other ones as well >.>

Of course. You can have fun when you lose in games like smash bros or mario party or some light-hearted romp of a game but spending 20-70 minutes in a league match just to lose because of quitters or trolls, or to attempt a raid boss for 7 hours and not down it is a LOT less fun. Anyway there's plenty of free games but you're gonna spend your time leveling SOMETHING. Just downloaded onigiri and it's a direct control mmo like c9 or terra so you could try that but it's not all that interesting to me.

I already see the patterns again, your just like my so called friend ... a real LoL player. I won't say anything bad but I will say that we'll never be friends but that's okay tehre will always be peeps that are towards your liking and those who are not. I won't go random hating you for how you are ^^ But even in the situations you just summed up I have a blast. One match 40 and something minutes long We were winning, 4 against 5 cuz one guys game apperently crashed he joined in like after 20 min or so. We were winning until one found it funny to troll the veigar ... worst idea ever. For one, that veigar totally wiped the floor with him ... 10 times in a row. Wich gave the rest of the team or part of it assist, wich comes with money. Than the guy who didn't play (could've been a girl but whatevs) decided to join in mids game and of course died 37 times .... or 36 idk. Eventually to enemy team came in constant team battles but the troll ragequitted and the other guy who didn't play for half the game always ran in it alone >.> We ended up losing the match but I had quite the amount of fun the enemy team was friendly over the chat and all. My team was pretty nice as well, though annoyed by the troll and the guy who joined in mid game but apperently it was his pc. Overall had a fun match and at the very end while our nexus was being destroyed by 3 minions (at first) we decided to just go dance in the middle with the enemy team. You see it's players that take it to serious that ruin the game. If you can laugh whether you lose or win. A game is always fun. But it's the other players that make your games boring (well my games at least). On a note: I can't play tera ... it doesn't want to download/instal always stops at 40% of the download >.>

Welp some people have a competitive nature and some don't. Just like there are those built for sports and those who just watch. Don't need to like it or understand it, just how the world works. Tera is eh anyway I personally didn't enjoy it that much but I had terrible ping so that was probably my first problem. Traditional-esque mmo's are more fun to me which is why I like the fact there's all these free ones now like rift, lotro, swotor, even eq, etc. now if only wow would let me play for free I'd be in a much more blissful state.

I should have a competitive side since I used to do martial arts but even there respect came before winning. Also I never understood people who watch sports such as soccer. I understand if there would be family or friends who are in that team but just go watch and act like a retard screaming and turn into a fricking bitch when the team you're supporting loses .... geeez Well you can play WoW for free for like 20 days I think but I never enjoyed WoW that much

There's a free starter edition but there's lots of limitations however I have been playing since a couple weeks after launch so no such luck for me. On the bright side the beta for the xpac is free though so I can play that until it ends. I much prefer traditional styles like wow eq or rift compared to games like guild wars but oh well I got gw2 for free so I go back to it every now and then to kill time
