That's because the site is lonesome, it's not all that big and only a few really active users, so you'll have to try talking to them personally by PM or Wall Post. Talk as much as you can in the forums, even if you start something and don't get a reply, you'll become a bit more known and get some friends However, this is TECHNICALLY a dating site.
