For those looking for a relationship

I have been meaning to write this so here it goes. I have noticed that lately we have had a lot of users complaining that the site is not active enough or that they cant find anybody. Well I for one would like to create this thread in response to that. I would like people on maiotaku to post what they think could be done to help that situation as in friendly advice. Now here is some of mine for the matter. 1. Be active on the forums this helps improve the chances you have greatly when I say active that means making post. I believe that the more people are active on the forum the more people will come to maiotaku and the site will get more active hopefully. 2. Be friendly and express stuff about yourself on introduction threads. 3. If you are interested in somebody try to take the time to get to know them rather then just jump on them. Now thats a few things that I stated but there are also other threads out there that provide even more statements to help as well I will provide links for one or two below. I agree. Currently the site doesn't feel that much like a "dating" site, but more so just a small community forum. I always see a lot of people's profiles that say they've been online within the past like 2 days, yet never seen them post anything. How can one get to know others if they don't even show they exist?

They should have called this place "Otaku friends forum" or something like that, maybe it would inspire people to talk more. (And certain people wouldn't freak out about this being a "dating" site inappropriate for under 18). But unless you advertise the forums more, only some people will come to talk.

@vampire I agree with you we do need to advertise the forums more but at the same time users need to be trying to make new threads and giving out their views on things if we want it to remain active. @buji that is also true

I would love to see something like a 3d world forum. Like you can create your own character, even create your own anime stylized character/avatar. Walk down MaiOtaku street and head into the relationships cafe and chat with people about related topics. You could easily do that in Second Life but I don't think they have gotten it to work on smartphones yet. But something more graphical than the cheesy flash based stuff some sites have. I know that's not very practical at the moment for our current situation.

Wow Neko i was kinda thinking something along those lines and lonely im kinda the same but idk im kinda weighed abit by my school, band, the teams im on and anime haha, i dont think would like a guy who has alot going on XD

Though I am anti social so how dose that work? I dont care if others know me or not... I like anime... I like girls. Though what I really like is just being happy... Though I would say this site needs more advertising.
