I love these music-sharing topics. I have a very emotional song I found a while back. It's a song by Dave Matthews made after his father died. It sent a chill down my spine when I first heard it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXMYleZvYi0&index=58&list=FLAJlEg8zRzNWkuQQf9_J0uQ

Like the Gary Jules mention! Not really a big fan but I'd have to say watching Johnny Cash's video and version of hurt was pretty heartfelt. I'll toss Staind - it's been a while and Guster - happier in the mix as well.

I've always found emo, post-rock, and math-rock to be some of the most heartfelt and emotional music I've ever listened to and also some of the best music to study to. But by far one of my favorite emo bands has to be American Football and this whole album always feels so nostalgic and mellow whenever I listen to it. I know emo isn't exactly a popular genre but there are so many good bands that just do it so well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mr_DMGZ-JrY

Since it's rainy here right now, it's a post-rock kind of day http://youtu.be/oMEGJ-Jk58Q

@Xueli: God Is An Astronaut are amazing live, I was lucky enough to see them on their recent US tour which was a while back. Silian Rail was a really good post rock band from close to where I am that just broke up not to long ago. They did some gnarly stuff. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R5EmPpwQxkA

Adagio for Strings, first song that pops into my head when i saw the title of the thread. One of my favorite games used a version of this song and i'll never forget how much of an impact it had on me as a child. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izQsgE0L450
