Poem inspired by Pandora Hearts

opinions would be lovely. I know the last 4-5 lines need a lot of improvement but I'm pretty satisfied with the rest of it. ^.^ You awoke from 10 years slumber. You awoke so hazy eyed. You awoke to a world different than your nightmarish lullaby. You're now trapped in this hysteria. They all have their eyes on you. Such a hassle this has caused me. Now, tell me, what am I to do? I've improved my weakened body while you were trapped in the abyss. You don't recognize my being, yet you claim it's me you miss. To prevent from awkward speaking, I'll not yet tell you who I am. For now the truth's locked tightly on the tongue of every man. Despite you being trapped a decade in a place devoid of sun, I'll not forsake the promise that I made when I was young. I promised to protect you and to forever stay your friend. Those words will remain true until my life comes to an end. And in the heat of battle, I will stand my solid ground. You won't see my body trembling. You won't see me backing down. For in the heat of battle, I am at my very best. Once they're the ones immobile I will find my time to rest. Until that time does grace me, you will have me by your side. And if your body shall betray me, it's by your hands that I will die. But let's not speak of what ifs for this is here and this is now. I will not erase this fire until it's you who wears the crown. "What if my crown begins crumble and then my throne begins to decay?" If by chance that worst does happen, the ones to blame will surely pay. I'll not give up this mission until we find what we came for. Maybe when the battle's over, we can return to how we were. But if the day does come where you demand I go away, I'll protect you from the darkness. In the shadows, I will stay.
