Turn offs?

Another turn-off is when people completely turn their nose up at a series that has a not-so-great English dub/cast. Here's my story: I was talking to somebody about how I loved a series and he completely dismissed me because the cast/dub was terrible and the adaptation from it's original visual novel form was poor, in his opinion. Well, guess what was announced later on? The series is being completely redone by a great production company. If there wasn't already support from the fans, this would likely not have happened.

Whoa, butt hurt? No, not really. I find your childishness, and lack of sentence structure, for a 26 year old very amusing. A few things, to dispute your reasoning for being, if you will. First, you, as an atheist, pray for us who dislike smoking, yet contradict yourself by therefore praying. On top of that, you feel the need to make it known that you are an atheist like it's something to be shocked about. I do not understand you logic our reasoning for bringing that up in the first place, since religion had nothing to do with what was talked about, thusly leading me to believe you were seeking attention. Now regardless of an atheist praying, you then say that you feel bad for us, in a very "13 year old who just learned how to text" way. No sense talking about your terrible grammar since that was discussed previously. What I will mention is that you claim to feel bad for us for not liking it, but give nothing as to what you like about it, or why you disagree with the comment. Very childish to post something that holds no beneficial value to the thread, again trolling. So I'll give you once more to discuss about if you feel inclined, our if you rather, you can post incoherent garble which will thusly be blown off and taken as a pathetic attempt ata troll. So now, would you kindly make your decision so we can carry on this thread, with or without you?

I'm going to add stubborn childish antics on my list of turn offs. Acting childish can be cute, but not when its more of a serious topic. Or because you just don't want to admit your wrong. Keeping thread going here ^+^

Agreeing with Kirokun. It's just...irritating. Continuing on from Unusual Otaku, Yeah, I can see that. I've been guilty of sniping at dub casts, but dismissing a whole series because of it is ridiculous...OK you don't like the adaptation? It's silly to down on someone for liking it. discuss it like an adult " Well I wasn't a huge fan of the way they did this, but it's still a good series, hey, did you know this was different in the novel? " You can bring it up in a nonoffensive manner and still get your point across.

Thank you for keeping it going, guys. I've done the same thing as death said, but more so from Japanese voices to English. For example, inuyasha. I loved the jp voice actors, the characters didn't sound whiny. Now don't get new wrong, I enjoyed inuyasha, but the jp voices to English was a bit of a let down. There were others but that's the one I could think of offhand.

@Deathscythe0205 - Couldn't have said it better myself. @jirokun - I agree. There are the good voice actors and others that leave something to be desired. I tend to watch more subs than dubs, but I do see some great dubs from time to time.
