Ladies:Ever have older men ask you out? does it scare you?

Age does affect your perspective. The lady is 23 and it's very natural to want to date within your age group at that age. Your perspective on that does change as you get older. You 30 something guys should not take that personal. It's just part of life. Look at my predicament. I would settle for a lady to just talk with regardless of their age. I am just not very good at holding my breath and it would change the color of the cat.

I'm 27, and according to this site, there are only three women in Maryland. One's practically underage, and the other's never checked her account for over three months, giving one the distinct possibility that she may never have even existed. Looking on the male end, however, there's probably at least twenty. Needless to say, the options are slim.

I had a older bloke in his late 50's or mid 60's ask me if I had a "companion" or a "lover", as he soon clarified, while I was at my first job as a cashier at a charity thrift store almost a year ago.

For me, I don't feel comfortable having a guy almost 10 years older than me to ask me out. (which did happen) Maybe when I'm much older, but at this age...nope.

I'm not a lady but this does apply to me. If the man isn't so old that you couldn't possibly be attracted to him and isn't so creepy that you would want to toss bricks at his face if ever he approached you in public, then I say be open-minded. I've set an age limit for myself based on my own age. Each year that I grow older I add a year to my limit but I'm open to the "right guy" should he happen to be older than my limit. To answer the "does it scare you?" question, it would only scare me if I were in public and an extremely older man asked me out. I would get some major willies.

I usually have a two year limit (up to two years older or younger) before I start feeling uncomfortable. If they are old enough to be my Dad then no way!

I dunno I barley notice when people hit on me... >.< the only 'creepy' time was when a 70 year old guy asked me if I wanted candy and kept calling me a lovely and beautiful boy...

@Armitage- I'm kinda like that. I'm 25(26 this year), and I like to have a girl who is like two years younger or up to my age. I MIGHT go for someone older.....but rarely. And I may go only one year older than myself. However, if the girl is exceptionally interesting to me, then I may foregoe the age limit a little bit(Like maybe 21-23). @FayelinnBlair-I agree. I mean, I understand that everyone is free to get involved with people of any legal age. The thing with me is, if I end up being with someone, I don't want them DYING WAY TOO SOON before I do. I want someone who is going to be there. Who knows how long you will be with the person you happen to end up with. Unfortunately, I, too, seem to garner the attention of those who are MUCH OLDER than me. Thanks, dad. Your genes have royally screwed me over.
