Hi everybody! =D

My name is Mackenzie, but most people call me Kenzie. I'm here because I'm hoping to make some nifty new friends. I'm a 24-year-old writer and artist. In addition to anime, I like video games, reading, and animals (especially cats). I'm also into of a variety of fandoms such as Adventure Time, The Walking Dead, Disney, Harry Potter, et cetera. I've never been to a con, but I REALLY want to go to one someday! Nice to meet you all! ^_^

Well, I'll be honest: I haven't had anything published. In fact, I've never sent anything out. I don't feel like what I've written has been good enough yet. But I do have a young adult fiction project that I'm working on that I'm pretty excited about. I've been writing since I was 10 and I finished my first novella when I was 12. I also have a blog that I work on pretty consistently. It's not much yet (I need to get a domain and switch it over to Wordpress.org) but I started it with the intention of helping others work through/manage anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues by "healing through the power of kawaii." That sounds very noble! Do you have any background in psychology or anything? I'm currently a sociology major in college but I'm thinking of picking up psych as a second major. What's your fiction project about?

Thanks! I don't have a psychology background in the professional sense. I'm very interested in it, though. If I go back to school, it will most likely be for psychology or social work. I went to college for a year after I first graduated high school and I majored in fine art, but I was young and I didn't know what I was doing...honestly, I wasn't ready for college at all. ^^; But yeah, anyway, as far as my fiction project goes...it's a bit hard to explain in a nutshell, and I also don't want to give too much away yet. ^_~ But I'll say this: it's kind of hard to really define it by a specific genre. It's a fantasy novel but it's also kind of sci-fi/dystopian future-ish. It's something that I'm hoping could translate well into manga form eventually. ( ^_^)b

I'll check out your some more of your wordpress laters, but interesting reads from what I have read just now heheh. It's interesting :D I've heard when you're getting things published there's a lot of revisions that go over your work. It's interesting. Writing's an art on it's own - I do hope that you release some other things n' let me have a look see some time :p Speaking of which have anything posted up with your art n' whatnot? o: Like on DeviantArt? LOVE CATS. KITTENS AND THEIR LIL PAWS. There's so much gifs and pictures on tumblr I could spend all day and just die in the cuteness.
