Zombies Vs Cannibals

I've been pondering this question for awhile, and I think it proves to be a interesting discussion. If you had to be stuck in either a Zombie world or Cannibal world. Which would be easier to handle?

Zombies of course. I've known one cannibal in my time and she was some crazy Russian girl. She was pretty scary but that's a story for another time I guess. What i'm saying is one was more than enough, i'll take zombies any day. So long as they aren't fast zombies. ._.

I'd even take fast zombies over cannibals... Cannibals are human just like the rest of us...except they eat other humans...either way they're a lot more cunning and capable than a zombie. You can outsmart a zombie, but you can only outsmart a cannibal if you're smarter than said cannibal, and I'm pretty sure in a cannibal world they'd be a hell of a lot more experienced at capturing/ killing other humans than I would be. It would be mentally draining trying to figure out if my next step would be the one that set off a trap, or if there would be a group of cannibal hunters lying in wait for me around the next corner. Even sleeping would be hell, humans can break into a secure area with ease...zombies not so much, you barricade the place, maybe rig some early warning systems around the perimeter to wake you in case there are some coming your way to give you enough time to make a run for it. Even gathering food would be more risky in a cannibal world, where are the best hunting grounds? Well of course near the watering holes/ feeding grounds...zombies don't think about where they hunt, they just wander around until their senses are piqued and then click into hunting mode. Plus, zombies can't look terrified if you're about to kill them. Like I said cannibals are still human, they still have emotions and I'm pretty sure in the face of death a lot of them will look terrified...it's hard to kill something that looks terrified...

I think I would rather be with Cannibals, honestly. Zombies are more difficult to kill. I mean, if it's not a head shot, they still come after you. And if you get bit, even if it's a small bite, you are down for the count. That's assuming if cannibals are intelligent, assuming they are reverting back to a primitive state. You can hide from cannibals, because they are just human. But zombies can smell you. They know where you are, and come in hordes, to eat you.

Intelligent cannibals are able to use firearms, like guns. No thanks.

I don't see how zombies are any more difficult to kill than a cannibal, even a fast zombie only has two attacks: bite or unorganized brute force. Humans fight back when you try to kill them, especially if they're in groups; they can do something called teamwork...that's terrifying. Zombies may come at you in hordes but it only takes an organized team of humans to keep even a horde of zombies at bay you don't even need a gun for zombies...a long pole with a blade attacked to the end will suffice...hell let them run into it. Humans can smell just as well as zombies if not better, and I'm pretty sure they can hear a hell of a lot better due to their bodies not decomposing and whatnot...especially if they're you know...hunting other humans. The only thing that zombies have on cannibals is their ability to spread the disease 'easily' and even that can generally be countered...just get yourself some old school plate mail or even some chain mail with a full face mask and viola zombie bite proof, go hack away. Cannibals aren't trying to spread a disease...they're trying to sustain their food source...by killing you first in any way possible then taking you back to their tribe or whatever and eating you. That chainmail or whatever armor/weapon system you come up with to counter them will be good for about as long as it takes them to think of a way to deal with it. The human mind is a terrifying weapon, and since zombies can't really 'think' they've lost their biggest advantage.

Yeah, Have to go with the Z-Apocalyptic world. Scary shit, but you can deal with an infestation than you can a world full of cunning humans who can get you to be their next 6 course meal and probably with your consent. >_>;;..some people are just that good. Well, ruphies would just make it all the more easier. Zombies are more or less unintelligent instinctive beasts, where if you KNOW how to deal with their attributes as animals (if you could even call them that) then it'll just be an easy play on action. Then again, the infestation of zombies can vary depending on what 'kind'. There's so much takes on how zombies would be in the fictional realm it really depends what type they are. Either way it'd be easier to strategize and deal with.

Karasu and doubt_equals_ammo have covered the majority of my points on this. Zombies are easier. They are impulsive, simply, physical beings. Cannibals are Humans, you know…that creature that down sharks and lions for food, yeah…THOSE things are coming after you. Also, in a Cannibal world, when compared to a Z-World, safe to figure the QUANITY of Cannibals is just as high as the Zombies. So…if 8.65+/10 people are Cannibals….that can think, strategize, earn TRUST, & betray…..then yuh, we're screwed. D,: P.S. Good point, they can use GUNS!!! WITH ACCURACY, AND TRAINING!! Let's define OP. <_<
