What anime show do you despise?

While im at it, leme just out and say i hate most anime for the same aforementioned reasons. Being nerds youd think our prefered entertainment is less harmful than the rest of society' s right? NOPE. Our media is even more harmful, just in a more subtle way. It teaches us to be just as much of objectifying assholes as the people who marginalized and bullied us,except we dont see it as much because our objectification is more benevolent and its also hidden behind the supposed noble social martyrdom of being a nerd. Everyone is still raised to think the wolrd revolves around them, however i realize that most of you remain unaffected by this so im not actually accusing anyone right now.

If any of you are curious of the aforementioned effect its a well documented part of social learning theory in psychology. So its not just a random observation. Avoid the effect is also the number 1 piece of advice every dating coach, specifically geared towards nerds/otaku,gives.

Here is my thing... Now you don't have to agree, but One Piece... the manga at least has so much details in it. If Oda hadn't put so many details in it, the series would be even longer. With the anime, I get a little annoyed cause not only is the series already long, but there is episodes that didn't even happen in the manga. This is okay, however because it usually serves a purpose such as establishing a relationship between certain characters etc. It is a huge turnoff for people that just want to see story progression, though. *abbreviation failz* X_X As for SAO... I couldn't watch it for very long. I think the concept of playing a video game and getting stuck in it felt unoriginal to me. /: I feel like people seem to substitute real life experiences with all kinds of things, not just anime, manga, video games, but also reality TV, sitcoms, collecting buttons, you name it lol. They don't know other people are like, and that people have feelings and that it's important to respect them. They also don't get to read facial cues and different tone of voice that express emotions. It can lead to people getting into their own bubble and being a bit selfish. Some people healthily enjoy anything, and then people sometimes get too carried and it causes problems with social interaction which is unfortunate. Miyazaki made an observation on anime lately. His biggest problem with it was basically a lot of otaku are making anime and Manga. That they don't really care to go into people's emotions, and so they miss things he feels should be important. They just like robots and action,etc. Perhaps the people that made SAO are otaku as well? I can see how you'd feel that SAO encourages it. You know...

Honestly... and don't hate me for this.. RosarioxVampire.. I just couldn't get into it.. the voices were WAYYY too high pitched for my liking

I'm so glad someone made this thread. I thought about doing a similar one. I've got one. Kekkaishi. At first, I was like this seems cool, but then after trying to watch a few episodes it slowly became awful. It had a few funny moments, but besides that, the main setting was the school and it took forever for any kind of plot to emerge, not to mention the voice acting was not that great. I dunno. It just was not entertaining and very dull to me. No offense to those who liked it.

Black Rock Shooter. It had such a cool intro, so I was excited to watch the series when it came out. The first episode, I had to suffer through 24 minutes of girls hanging out at school doing completely normal things. The plot was insufferable, and by time it got to the "other world", I was already hooked up to life support, comatose from boredom.

@chicgeek23, I've only watched a little bit of Kekkaishi and I'd have to agree with you on almost all points, definitely in the lower section of the anime I've watched over the years... @Arc, I only watch the first episode of Black Rock Shooter and haven't even bothered to watch further...I can't stand when the first episode (arguably the most important episode of any series) doesn't draw you into the series and make you want to watch more... @cloudcross, Yeaaahhh School Days is a very misleading title to what the actual anime/manga is about...the manga is much better and less drastic with the turn of events...but it still has a bad ending

I hate that anime called Good Luck Girl.. Fucking main character is mary sue as hell.. I hate how luck always saves her ass that is ridiculous. It's like TOM AND JERRY Anime style with that bit.ch being jerry.. Its just stupid.
