Hello and welcome! This website is a bit strange, but you'll get used to it. The best way I've noticed to meet new people is to use the forum (as you are now XD) and join in conversations! There's also an unofficial tinychat thing that I tried today too, you can find a link in the Site Suggestions or whatever it is part of the forum.
