People go after the Taken

Have you noticed that there are quite a few people that seem to go after those that are Taken? I really don't understand. Like for me, I'm taken, but I've had people flirt with me more than just in a "friendly" way. I've also had other people outright ask me to cheat on my boyfriend with them. Why is this? Is it perhaps the allure of what they can't have? Do you have any experience with this topic?

Its easier to flirt around to have fun I think. Like no hidden motives and such. So I think its really relaxing. Plus its a dating site

Maybe you're too friendly with people, I know that in my case, my friendliness is usually taken for granted when all I want is to be friends. Though there's nothing you can coherently do about people liking you. As long as you don't go along with them, then it should be fine. Hell if people tell you to cheat with them, that's usually a good indication that you shouldn't even talk to the person.

I'm not really talking about on this site -.- I'm talking about in the "real world". Ill be somewhere and have a guy flirt. That I understand, whatever, but when it becomes more then friendly or they make a move, I say I have a boyfriend because I dont want to lead them on but some still continue. The most commonly used phrase is "where is your boyfriend? (waits for answer) And where am I?" And I am NOT bragging. Its not something to brag about, being hit on by people even when they know you are taken -.- Like Xarioth said, they aren't exactly the kind of people you WANT hitting on you... you know they aren't reputable. Plus, the reason why I asked this question is because I know a bunch of other girls that have the same problem (and some guys). But more girls than guys...

What, Liam Neeson? Oh! Oh. I believe Xarioth and catthinkofabettername have gotten the idea of it. I've heard that coming from others but being an extremely observant person, I've never noticed. I don't have any experience either since I've been single for 17 years. *ahem*mywholelife*cough In relation to online sites, of course it's easier to get away with. People like toying with other people. How does it feel having being flirt with like that? ~T

Look. If you think a girl is hot, and worth it. You hit it. You hit it like theres no tomorrow. If the girl/guy/thing is really that cute/hot/iwantthat then nobody cares a fuck if your taken, they still wanne try. Unless the person really LOVES you and actually knows you. Then he should have to man the fuck up and realise that if they really love you they want you to be happy. Even if its with someone else. Its a hard lesson but I try to be less selfish when I REALLY love/like someone. Not everything is about me. If they REALLY dont want me at some point I have to just deal with it and move on. if its someone you barely know. JUST HIT ON IT
