@kichigai, what you just said sparked my interest. Nice philosophical question. I think being straight forward, no sugar coating, is a great way to be. It's the most honest way you can live, and others are truly fake because they will lie and deceive; lying and deceiving to be 'Nice', but nonetheless, it's a sort of lie and unhonest.

Kichigai I don't think being abrasive is a bad thing, and I agree that being nice 100% of the time is unrealistic and fake. I just don't understand the point of being abrasive about everything, just as much as I don't understand the point in being happy-go-lucky about everything. I can't answer your question about why it's looked down upon because I don't know. There are certainly times when it's appropriate to be abrasive and certainly people that are deserving of it, just like there are appropriate times to be respectful and "nice". If I had to take a stab at it, I'd say it's because a lot of people don't want to see things for what they are and would rather be held by the hand and told what they want to hear.

umm... excuse me oreo... the most mature here is Vash. Don't you forget it, peasant.

Did I say I was abrasive about everything? Why would you assume that I'm abrasive about everything?

"I'm abrasive because I want to be. I don't have to be sensitive to your feelings nor his. I don't want to." <- is what made me assume that you were abrasive about everything maybe I took your words too much out of context?

Man this is so entertaining that imma take a nap

Where in that sentence do you see the words "all the time" or "everything"? How does that sentence even HINT to me wanting or being abrasive all the time? Ok... With your logic, translate this for me. I cook because I want to. I don't have to buy out nor do I want to. ^^^ Does this mean I cook all the time? That every single mean I eat is cooked from scratch by me?
