Role-Play "The Haven"

[I'm going to hold off on posting until Poptimus (love the name by the way) gets through the gate also, so I'm not doing the awkward solo RPer thing lol]

"Thank you very much good sir!" He turns around and takes a few steps towards the gate then spins around with a look of embarrassement on his face "Where are my manners? I'm Thenes Eratos, Journeyman Scholar" He bows deeply then turns around and walks through the gate as the massive vault-like mechanisms unhinge themselves and lays open the entrance to The Haven before him. As he enters through he mumbles to himself "Forest of the wicked? that sounds... interesting..."

[Alright] Watches as the second person enters the gate, opening his book and letting out a light sigh as he gazes upon it. A pen appearing out of thin air and jotting down notes before disappearing again."It seems like The Haven is going to have a bunch of different events this year with the newcomers that seem to be popping up." He mutters to himself as he look at the gate,"It's about time things started getting interesting." He says before he closes the book and leaning against the wall and rests his book at his side.

[I'm guessing that the gate let them out in the same vicinity- if it doesn't let me know, i'll go back and edit.] Only steps out of the gate, Kanbei could feel the difference between the Haven and home- the air tasted different, the breeze was crisp, and there was a coolness that his time fighting in the lower realms had never replicated. He was about to set off until he heard the sounds of another individual emerging from the gate, raising an eyebrow in curiosity from behind his mask as Thenes entered the Haven himself. "Looks like that gatekeeper has been keeping busy." He he mused out loud...

[ You are correct, people enter through the gate at one point. Even though each person sees an individual kind of gate as they pass through, every person enters through one way and ends up at the same exit. I will be entering the pathway you see before you as everyone will see the same thing.] Before the two travelers is a path that seems to be appearing in front of them. Showing them a way to their first destination before departing upon the world of the regulars. A pub that can be seen a good distance away, possibly a few miles, the only building in sight as the path trails on out of sight.

[Sorry for the delay, spent the night in jail '-.- ] As he came up the trail to Kanbei, Thenes shrugged and replied casually to his musings "I dont know about that, usually a gatekeepers job is to keep people out afterall..." Thenes stopped in front of the huge armoured man and looked at him with a quirky smile on his face "You wouldnt happen to be a man-at-arms? I am new to the Haven and imagine I could do with a bit of muscle for added security" [Just going to add a proper chararcter description in ooc here: Thenes is of average height and is thin almost scrawny, his hair is a greyish white, he wears black jeans, a whitecollar shirt and a pair of leather loafers. He only carries a small satchell and no weaponry (unless you count knife and fork).

[It's all right, as long as you're well and good after that jail-time you've had. Welcome back, I'll wait until you two reach your next destination before continuing my portion of the RP]

[Hope everything is OK dude! I had to pull a few turnaround shifts, so I've been way too wiped out to post the last few days, sorry guys x_x] Kanbei Wasn't sure what it was, but there was jsut something about Thenes he liked. Maybe it was his apparent upbeat personality, or maybe it was his sharp attire. "I'm new here too. But I won't complain if you want to tag along." Maybe it was a bit of pride at being requested for protection that made him as eager to accept the request as he was. That, and he also wasn't keen on wandering a new world alone either. Kanbei strode down the road towards the Pub in the distance, his eyes scanning the road every with way, absorbing just how different and vibrant the Haven was compared to his old home in the lower realms. "So, why did you come out to the Haven, eh?" Kanbei asked Thenes, trying to learn more about his new ally...

[It's alright, if time between posts starts getting too lengthy I'll start adding in scenarios about the world, possibly events of some kind to keep things interesting for when you guys start posting again. So there's no rush on it.]

[Thanks for the concern, it was just a misunderstanding that spun out of hyand and resulted in a single nights incarceration, its all well and over now, though bad shit usually come in droves... Lost my internet connection due to my roomie negleting to pay, writing this from my parents house (visting over the weekend), I will do my best to keep up to date but I foresee irregular activity from my side for the rest of the year I fear] *Will post later today, aint got the time i realize*
