Any advice on how to find someone who also loves anime?

Theres no anime convention in my city or even near it and if I go to a convention I will most likely not see the people again too often that I met there. So whats the point other than buying many awesome anime related, overpriced things there ? :3

I have this problem too :/ Rather than just being people around me who aren't into anime or thinking it's weird, no one seems to even know what is where I live. I'm a girl who walks around with my AoT hoodie and One Piece bag and if my interests come up in a conversation anime is the first thing I mention and I've never come across any of this "in hiding" issue before - everyone I've met who knows what anime is will gladly acknowledge they like it. And I agree with the fact you're unlikely to see people from conventions to often - the only one I ever went to people came form far and wide, it would have been very difficult to meet up with anyone I'd chatted with. And my college never had an anime or manga club and now I'm out of education and into work and everyone's much older than me and needs abridged explanations of what anime actually is. I'm also very, very distrustful of meeting people over the internet - I'm really here just to mosey around and chat XD

The problem I have the only girl I ever met that shared ALL of my interests (including music taste, anime and even though she wasnt a martial artist, she was pretty damn athletic) was taken already. I dont really care since we're good friends but her boyfriend is garbage. The guy is always acting like he's something better yet his face looks like he's constantly drunk or high. I dont get why girls fall in love with douchebags and assholes. Why u no get a brain female population

This is because of the instinct to chose a protector and emotional turmoil is a greater sexual stimulant for women than physical stimulation. This has all been scientifically validated but it is still difficult for men to grasp sometimes. For us men when we see a woman we want not just sexually but emotionally we as men are genetically wired to look at the woman's situation logically and say that makes no since why is she with him. She is with him because of deep emotions hard wired into her genetic make up. That being said it pisses me off too. I would like to add that I am just stating scientific studies as outlined in the above attached video. I do not think men are greater than women or vise verse. They are just different on a biological and psychological level.

The hiding thing is sure a pain in the rear like it's just who u r.. No 1 can judge anime just because they hve plots or etc but if u want 2 find a girl who has the same intrest as u than go 2 ur local anime club, anime con, or at the bookstore (at the manga section). ^-^

yea i've read an article about that a few years back evora but even so I cant help but dislike the fact that humanity with its superior genetical material that was refined through evolution to the point it was able to leave the planet it originated from and travel the universe, (even though its still only at the beginning ) gets distracted by primitive insticts. Now dont get me wrong. I am trying to reactivate some of my primal instincs myself through training in the wilderness. But only those that are useful in both life in society and survival without cilivisation. And If I can actually reactivate some of the traces of forgotten animal instincs from past generations, then it should be just as possible to remove unnecessary bullshit from times where we were animals. In a world where the horizon is not the end of land, exceptions and special cases will always exist. But srsly I guess it works that way too.
