I'm a huge fan of Steampunk and I'm just curios if anyone here is also interested in it. :) If you don't know what it is, I can tell you~^^

I love the steampunk style of dress. A gorgeous mix of gears and Victorian aged dress with some leather based accents.

Wow! Great description, cantthinkofabettername, you're right on the money~ LOVE the name btw! XD Here's a link to google images of the fashion: https://www.google.com/search?q=Steampunk&client=firefox-a&hs=dWe&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=N6ODUo_wIsjvkQeu7YHABQ&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAQ&biw=1366&bih=654#q=steampunk%20fashion&revid=1890672442&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&tbm=isch Sorry it's so long.. >_< There's several different versions of Steampunk. There's 4 main styles attributed to Steampunk culture: Medieval, Victorian, Western, & Industrial. Each has it's own little niche on what to wear. Medieval involves the middle ages with the knights and ladies of the age and the styles that go with it. Victorian takes clothing, styles, and ideas from the Victorian Era. Western takes the same from our own wild wild west during the early 1800s and is the most subtle form of Steampunk. Industrial on the other hand is the most hard core in my opinion with LOTS of metal, gears, spikes, and much more "hard rock/punk" look to it. I'm into the more subtle Western style of Steampunk, but I do like to mix in a few elements of Victorian Steampunk, like lace and feathers. :) I hope this helps explain it a bit more. If you look up Steampunk on Wikipedia you'll find a nice long explanation. ^^

Movies with examples of Steampunk style include: Wild Wild West (Western Steampunk) Comboys vs Aliens (Western Steampunk) Final Fantasy 7 (Medieval, I think) Van Helsing (Victorian & Western Steampunk) Hellboy (Victorian & Industrial Steampunk) Sky Captian & the World of Tomorrow (World War II inspired Industrial Steampunk) I forgot to mention that there are several styles that are akin to Steampunk, but not really the same. They are Dieselpunk, Cyberpunk, Atompunk, & Art Deco punk. These are a bit different from Steampunk, but very much worth mentioning.

*giggles* Fighting! If you need any help with it, just let me know. I'm an Artist and I have my own little business. I do alterations and everything. I can help you make your outfit. And it's alright if she thinks you're weird. I like people who are thought to be "weird"! Most people think I'm weird too~ The only ones who don't are my two closest friends and one of them is way more into Steampunk than I am. ^^
