Remember RPG's that were actually fun and good?

If you hop on the unofficial chatroom, sometimes I play BOF3 and stream it. Right now I'm playing Megaman 3

Most of the fun, memorable, philosophical games I've played are single-player RPGs....and before Squaresoft became Square Enix. Xenogears? A very biblical take on Adam & Eve. Chrono Cross/Trigger? Time travelling with a purpose. Legend of Dragoon? Teaches you what love actually means. Suikoden I/II? You'll never find war and peace the same again. Arc the Lad I-III? Classic hero saves a dying world with a very colorful support cast. Thousand Arms? The dating dialogues are enough to make you rofl. Growlanser? Beautiful cast with a very socio-political take on war and society...and I haven't even gotten to Megaman Legends or the ridiculous pig-swinging Tomba! The more recent equally fun and memorable games? Radiant Historia on NDS, Persona series, Disgaea series, Dark Cloud 2, Xenosaga...and that's it?

I need to play Radiant Historia. Dark Cloud was obviously Sony's answer to Legend of Zelda I HATE Xenosaga. With a fiery passion. It's not a game. It's a fucking movie with game mechanics sprinkled here and there

A fun RPG? The Persona series I enjoy because of the storytelling. Fun per-se I find in the Etrian Odyssey series. Hard games but I love that sense of satisfaction achieved when your party gets so good it can wreck any monster on Auto-Battle.

Kichi, I get how you feel; I just love the way how they toss biblical/religious references while riding cool robots hah. Key, I bought EO: Millenium Girl. I do like the dungeon crawler layout but not physically drawing them per se on my stylus. Blame my slothfulness on this one..
